As a Great Northern Diver had been reported at Chasewater I
decided to nip down there before lunch and the weather seemed to be brightening
up! When I got there it was throwing it
down with rain after a while it eased so I ventured out. It was extremely windy, I walked along the
dam wall no sign of the Diver then as I was walking back I got a quick view of
the Great Northern Diver just before it dived, then it surfaced briefly again before diving
again. I also saw Black-headed Gull,
Great Crested Grebe, Coot, Mute Swan Canada Geese and Pied Wagtail. I’d had enough of battling the strong wind
so headed home for lunch.
