A few of us met at Blithfield on a very wet bank holiday for a mornings birding I saw -
Grey Heron, Cormorant, Greylag Geese, Common Tern, Swallow,
House Martin, Mallard, Canada Geese, Great crested Grebe,
Black-headed Gull, Wood Pigeon, Mute Swan, Lesser black-backed Gull, Moorhen,
Pied Wagtail, Lapwing, Crow, Common Sandpiper, Greenshank, Ruff, Egyptian
Geese, Yellow Wagtail, Coot, Teal, Dunlin, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Chaffinch,
Nuthatch, Great spotted Woodpecker, Dunnock, Robin, Magpie, Oystercatcher,
Tufted duck, Sand Martin Goldfinch and through the rain we could just about see 1 Osprey sitting in his favourite tree.
