On a visit to Cannock Chase we saw - Jay, Robin, Swift, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Nuthatch, Magpie, Blackbird, Crow, we also heard -Cuckoo, Wood Warbler, Blackcap, Song Thrush, Wood Pigeon and Willow Warbler.

Then a few of us went over to Blithfield in the hope of seeing the Spoonbill that had been reported, and luckily it was still there.  After lunch I stayed at Blithfield to see what else I could find, I saw – Mute Swan, Canada Geese, Great-crested Grebe, Greylag Geese, Mallard, Cormorant, Grey Heron, Jay, Gadwall, Coot, Tufted Duck, Lapwing, Wigeon, Black-headed Gull, Lesser black-backed Gull, Wood Pigeon, Crow, Rook, Buzzard, Great-spotted Woodpecker, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blackbird, Robin and the days highlight apart from the Spoonbill that is! was an Osprey.  Two brilliant birds in one day can’t be bad!
