02/07/2012 Blithfield in the rain

The weather was awful but as I was on my back from the bird food farm I decided to go via Blithfield and spend a bit of time there, I got in the hide It was very quiet bird wise and I saw, well not a lot!! But there were 8 Common Tern just in front of the hide, also present were Canada Geese, Greylag Geese, Mute Swan, Great crested Grebe, Coot, Moorhen, Cormorant, Mallard, Swallow, Swift.  I’d had enough of sitting in the hide listening to rain bouncing of the roof, so I headed back to the car I had a quick look at the feeders, Blue Tit, Great Tit, and a Great spotted Woodpecker were all I could see. A very disapointing day weather and bird wise.
